"Practicon is a dental supply company in Greenville, NC specializing in hard-to-find dental products that make dentistry better. We met John Laverack of Nexus Design at a Design-2-Part show in July 2016. At that time we had the pipe dream of creating an affordable, battery-powered impression gun to make dental impression procedures faster and easier. Traditional manual impression guns are cumbersome and difficult to use. John understood our vision on the spot with the exact words "We're in!" It was obvious from their portfolio that they were capable, but were they the right partner for the job? This would be our first experience using an outside engineering firm. Would our first "impression" hold true? Nexus absolutely nailed the objective, mechanics, budget, and timeline. It would be hard to imagine a more skilled and cooperative approach to problem solving, clearer communications, and most importantly, a better end result for our own customers. I would call their method conservative yet comprehensive, leading to a design that managed risk and maintained our confidence from start to finish. Nexus is more than a design partner—they are a design friend. I would not hesitate to engage them again on a project that is just beyond our own ability to turn into reality. Thank you, Nexus Team!"
